PLAYING TIME
Four (4) Eight (8) minute quarters
  
All players must play a minimum of two (2) quarters
Overtimes--  Tip-off and the first team to score wins          

RULES


Grades Kindergarten 1st & 2nd

​No Overtime will be played!


Practice the first 20 minutes then play a short game after.

-Basket height is 8ft. and uses a junior size basketball.
-Games will be 4, 7 minute quarters running clock with 2, 30 second timeouts per game.
-Players cannot guard behind the half court line.


Grades 3rd & 4th                

-Regular rules will be followed
-Basket height is 9ft. and uses a women's size basketball (28.5 size)
-Individual fouls will not be kept
-Free-throws will be shot on shooting fouls only.


-Shooting foul Freethrow-   the person fouled will shoot 1 free-throw for 2 points


-Man-Man defense only
-Spirit of the rule-  Offensive team may not use clear out plays to take advantage of the rule.
-No full court presses
-Exception-  Losing team only if the game is within 10 points the last two minutes
-Clock will stop the last one (1) minute of each half
-2, 30 second timeouts per game.​


Grades 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th

-Regular rules will be followed and coaches may determine to use women's size ball for 5th & 6th grade boys -games if both coaches agree. 
-Basket height is regulation
-Individual fouls and team fouls will be kept.
-Free-throws will be shot according to the following rules

-Shooting foul-                 the person fouled will shoot 1 free-throw for 2 points, 3 point shot = 1 shot for 3                                      points (unless it is within the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter or overtime,                                         then it will be shot normal high school rules).


-Non -shooting foul-          according to bonus situation the fouled player gets to shoot 1 free-throw for two                                     points (unless it is within the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter or overtime,                                          then it will be shot normal high school rules).

-Zones and presses are allowed
       (Exception on Press Rule-  With a 10 point lead you may not press)
-Clock will stop the last one (1) minute of each half

-2, 30 second timeouts per game.
